It is salmonella once again

Salmonella in bean sprouts has prompted another recall, this time Asian Vegetable Mix containing Bean Sprouts marketed in Ontario by Sobeys and Foodland supermarkets.

A day earlier Fresh Brand’s Fresh Bean Sprouts were put on recall because of salmonella contamination.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency is watching over both recalls.

Sprouts have been notorious for food-poisoning bacteria because they are sprouted in warm, moist conditions ideal for multiplying bacteria.
