At the Ontario Stockyards, 20 fed cattle were on offer.  Veal is selling steady.

SHEEP AND LAMBS: 

There were 1,450 head on offer at the Ontario Stockyards. Lambs, sheep and goats are selling at barely steady prices.

Lambs 95 – 109 lbs: $180.00 – $187.00

Lambs 80 – 94 lbs:   $165.00 – $203.00

Lambs 65 – 79 lbs:   $195.00 – $205.00

Lambs 50 – 64 lbs:   $165.00 – $250.00

Sheep:                          $127.50 – $150.00

Goats:                           $101.23 – $290.00

From Ontario Pork:

Quebec’s average price on Friday, September 27, 2019 was $156.16 per ckg D.W. 100 index.

The previous markets day’s CME Constructed (201) price was $55.96 U.S. per cwt. D.W.

Compared to the previous day this was up $1.29.

Today we expect the CME Constructed (201) price to increase $0.84.

At the Chicago Board of Trade, corn futures are slightly higher:

DEC19 up 2 at $3.73  ½

DEC19 up 2 at $3.73  ½

Soybean futures are slightly to moderately higher:

NOV19 up 13 at $8.96

NOV20 up 6 3/4 at $9.47  ¼

Chatham-Kent cash corn: 

$5.34 – $5.64/bu, $210.03 – $221.84/mt.

Chatham-Kent cash soybeans:     

$11.06 – $11.11/bu, $406.39 – $408.23/mt.

Grain Farmers Terminal Wheat Bids:

Soft White $6.89/bu, $253.17/mt.

Hard Red $7.09/bu, $260.51/mt.

Soft Red $6.76/bu, $248.39/mt.

Red Spring $6.90/bu, $253.53/mt./ETX
