The new multi-year deal will employ about 600 workers and produce $1 billion worth of products
Highbury Canco has renewed its deal to produce Kraft Heinz products at the plant in Leamington that Kraft shut down.
A management team took over with help from Kraft and has rebuilt the business to employ about 600 workers. The new multi-year deal is for about $1 billion worth of products at retail prices.
Canco lobbied hard to persuade the provincial government to change relationships with the processing vegetables marketing board.
