Chicken Farmers of Canada has announced the election of its 2020 executive committee.
The committee will have Benoît Fontaine from Stanbridge Station, Quebec as its chair. Fontaine first joined the board in 2013 as an alternate and became the Quebec director in 2014. He became chair in 2016.
The vice-chair will be Derek Janzen from Aldergrove, British Columbia. He and his wife Rhonda are raising chickens and managing commercial laying hens in the Fraser Valley.
The second vice is Nick de Graaf, a third generation poultry farmers from Port Williams, Nova Scotia.
Tim Klompmaker from Norwood, Ontario will be the executive member. A third generation chicken farmer, he has also served as first vice-chair of Chicken Farmers of Ontario.
